Forest School Fun in Year 1

Owls have had a busy few weeks at Forest School.

 Before entering the Forest School area we have been taking time, without any talking, to observe sounds and sights of nature. There has been so much to notice; from red kites flying above our heads to rustling and colourful leaves as well as tasting raindrops!

 Within the site we've been collecting leaves to create beautiful leaf rubbings, measuring the depth of water in some very deep puddles, arranging guttering channels to collect water and designing our own fishing rods to catch water monsters from the pond.

We've also had plenty of time to explore and initiate our own activities including making the biggest mud pie Mrs Greggs has ever seen!

It has been an exciting start to our Forest School adventures.
